The Citizens Information Board (CIB) is the national agency responsible for supporting the provision of information, advice and advocacy. CIB funds and supports a range of Service Delivery Companies, including the Citizens Information Services, the Money Advice and Budgeting Services, MABS Support, National Traveller MABS, the National Advocacy Service for People with Disabilities, the Sign Language Interpreting Service and the Register of Irish Sign Language Interpreters
Higher Executive Officer, Financial Compliance and Reporting

Role
The Financial Compliance and Reporting (FCR) team within CIB is responsible for monitoring and reporting on the service delivery companies’ management of public funds, as well as their compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements as set out in their Service Level Agreements with CIB. The team determines the annual operational grant allocations for the service delivery companies and monitors and reports on the cumulative budget versus actual expenditure incurred by them. The team is also responsible for validating the service delivery companies annual cash budget plans and mid-year cash budget reprofiling submissions.
The team maintains CIB’s Financial Controls and Reporting Requirements Handbook, and monitors compliance by the service delivery companies through review of their quarterly financial returns, Annual Financial Statements and findings highlighted in internal audit reports and the external auditor’s management letter. The team work closely with other CIB teams, including Operational Compliance and Reporting, Corporate Services, Standards and Development and ICT, Digital and Data teams.
Salary from 1st February 2026
The salary scale for this post is the standard Higher Executive Officer Civil Service Equivalent: €59,435, €61,173, €62,908, €64,640, €66,380, €68,111, €71,808, €74,388(LSI1), €77,919(LSI2)

Tá an fhoireann freagrach freisin as pleananna buiséid airgid bliantúla na gcuideachtaí soláthair seirbhísí agus as aighneachtaí athphróifílithe buiséid airgid lár bliana a bhailíochtú.
Coinníonn an fhoireann Lámhleabhar um Rialuithe Airgeadais agus Ceanglais Tuairiscithe BFS, agus déanann sí monatóireacht ar chomhlíonadh na gcuideachtaí soláthair seirbhísí ach athbhreithniú a dhéanamh ar a dtuairisceáin airgeadais ráithiúla, ar a Ráitis Airgeadais Bhliantúla agus ar na torthaí a chuirtear i dtábhacht i dtuarascálacha iniúchóireachta inmheánaí agus i litir bhainistíochta an iniúchóra sheachtraigh. Oibríonn an fhoireann go dlúth le foirne eile de chuid BFS, lena n-áirítear foirne um Chomhlíonadh agus Tuairisciú Oibríochta, Seirbhísí Corparáideacha, Caighdeáin agus Forbairt, agus TFC, Digiteach agus Sonraí.
