The Citizens Information Board hosted a delegation from Moldova for an exchange on information, advice and advocacy services on 24 September 2026.

The visit was part of an EU-funded OECD project called ‘Supporting the Ministry of Justice and Justice Sector Reforms in the Republic of Moldova’. Senior representatives from the Moldovan justice sector visited several services along with CIB including the Legal Aid Board and the Courts Service.

CIB’s Digital Content manager Cathy Gerrard presented on the citizensinformation.ie website and our new AI chat bot AskCI. Joan O’Connor, CIB’s Data and Research manager spoke of CIB’s social policy function and how we report feedback on services to government.

Next the delegation heard from Nuala Crowe Taft, Development Manager with the Citizens Information Services who spoke about the value and impact of a trusted and impartial information, advice and advocacy service in the community.

Gwen Harris, North Dublin MABS Regional Manager, shared details of how MABS supports people in debt, provides money management education to consumers and provides specialist support to people in mortgage arrears.

Exchanges such as this provide a valuable opportunity to share experience and learning on the provision of information, advice and money advice services.
