Commissioner Michael McGrath Visits Citizens Information Board Stand at the National Ploughing Championships

The Citizens Information Board (CIB) was delighted to welcome Commissioner Michael McGrath to its stand today at the National Ploughing Championships, where he met with staff and learned more about our latest digital innovation, AskCI.

During the visit, the team demonstrated how AskCI works and highlighted its potential to help people access trusted public information quickly, easily and at a time that suits them. AskCI is designed to complement existing Citizens Information services by providing another accessible way for people to find information on a wide range of public service topics.

The visit provided an opportunity to discuss how digital tools can support greater access to public information while maintaining the high standards of quality, reliability and user-centred service that people expect from Citizens Information.

Commissioner McGrath said “Citizens Information services play a vital role in helping people access information and support. It was impressive to see how AskCI is using technology to make trusted public information more accessible, while complementing the excellent work carried out every day by Citizens Information staff and volunteers.”

CIB staff were pleased to showcase AskCI and to discuss the important role that technology can play in improving access to information and public services.

The Citizens Information Board would like to thank Commissioner McGrath for taking the time to visit the stand and engage with the team at this year's National Ploughing Championships.
