AskCI nominated for Better Public Services Awards 2026

The Citizens Information Board (CIB) is delighted to have its new AskCI tool nominated in this year’s Better Public Services Awards 2026. AskCI, an AI-powered chatbot for Citizens Information has been nominated in the Digital First category under Pillar 1: Digital and Innovation at scale. AskCI was developed by CIB’s Digital Content team as a response to significant changes in how people now search for information online. It is designed to help people find accurate information about public services, rights and entitlements using only verified content from citizensinformation.ie. CIB applied for the Better Public Service Awards in conjunction with our parent department, the Department of Social Protection.
