Citizens Information Board welcomes Danish Delegation
The Citizens Information Board (CIB) was delighted to welcome the Library and Citizens Service from Herning, Denmark to its office in Dublin on this week.
The group was given an overview of the work of CIB in particular citizensinformation.ie and CIB’s eLearning resources. The group travelled to Bray Citizens Information Centre (CIC) and Wicklow CIC where they met with staff and volunteers.
The visit provided a great opportunity to share ideas and explore mutual goals in delivering information and support to the public, in particular supporting individuals who face digital challenges. The group received a demonstration of the new Digital Help Service in Bray CIC which is designed to help clients access online services with confidence. They also had the opportunity to hear how volunteers are recruited and inducted into the service.
CIB extends sincere thanks to our Danish colleagues for an informative and collaborative visit.
The Library and Citizens Service visit was supported by Erasmus+ funding.
