Budget Day 2026 generated the highest level of website traffic so far this year on citizensinformation.ie as tens of thousands of users accessed updates.
190,668 unique website visitors were recorded following the Budget 2026 announcement on 7 October 2025. The citizensinformation.ie website saw just under 350,000 page views – 3 times more than a typical day.
By the end of the day the dedicated Budget 2026 page and the social welfare rates page had more than 50,000 combined page views with almost 40,000 users accessing Budget information.
The Digital Content team posted 25 updates sharing the main Budget Day announcements on Facebook and Instagram. These channels saw over 273,000 impressions on Budget Day (a 423% increase from Budget Day last year). Our Budget Day posts also saw over 27,000 interactions representing a very high engagement rate.
