From information to answers

The Citizens Information Board has developed a new AI tool called AskCI.

AskCI helps you find clear, reliable information about public services, rights and entitlements in Ireland. It uses generative artificial intelligence (AI) technology to give instant answers to questions in plain language, using only verified content from citizensinformation.ie.

AskCI can respond in Irish and other languages when questions are asked in those languages.

The chatbot is designed to support people using citizensinformation.ie and direct users to related information. It is one of several ways to get information, alongside our website content, the Citizens Information Phone Service and local Citizens Information Centres. The chatbot does not provide personalised advice and does not replace speaking to a Citizens Information officer.

AskCI is currently in a pilot phase to allow us to test and improve the service. You can find more information about AskCI on citizensinformation.ie . The pilot has been developed with the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO).
