CIPS TEAM SUPERVISOR
Permanent, full time, 35 hours per week, CIPS
The Citizens Information Phone Service (CIPS) is a national organisation, based in Blackrock, Cork. It provides information (primarily by telephone) directly to the public from 09:00 to 20:00, Monday to Friday.
CIPS wishes to recruit a permanent full-time Team Supervisor (35 hours per week). There will be a 6-month probationary period for the successful candidate.
The primary role of the Team Supervisor is to manage CIPS Information teams and information delivery systems and practices to ensure that all customer service objectives and standards are met.
Excellent people management and communication skills. Track record in service delivery, operational planning and quality assurance. Two years’ line management experience in a front-line service delivery setting and a relevant third level qualification are required.
- Permanent Post: This is a permanent position, subject to completion of a six-month probationary period.
- Salary Scale: €48,625- €58,837 (including 2 x Long Serving Increments) [pro-rata for part-time staff].
- Annual leave entitlement: 26 days (pro rata for part-time)
- Pension: There is a pension scheme in place where 5% is contributed by the employee and 7% by the employer. Membership of the pension scheme is mandatory.
- Incremental Credit: : It is expected that all new entrants to CIPS will be appointed at point one of the salary scale. However, CIPS operates an incremental credit process for appointments higher than point one. This process is applicable to new entrants into CIPS. Incremental credit criteria, based on the competencies for the role, are assessed against employment history as laid out in the application form only. A request for incremental credit from a successful candidate must be made within the first 3 months of employment. The decision on whether to award an incremental credit or not is a decision made by the CIPS Manager and is subject to the availability of funding.
