The Citizens Information Board publishes Annual Report 2025
Today, Wednesday 30 September 2026, the Citizens Information Board (CIB) published its Annual Report 2025 marking a year of impact, innovation and celebration as CIB reached its 25th anniversary.
The report highlights the vital role trusted information, advice and advocacy services play in supporting people to understand their rights, access services and make informed decisions.
As Ireland faces growing challenges around misinformation and digital change, CIB remains committed to ensuring everyone has access to a trusted, independent source of information and support.
In 2025:
- AskCI, Ireland's first publicly available Government AI chatbot, was launched using trusted content from citizensinformation.ie
- 8.6 million people used citizensinformation.ie
- Citizens Information Services helped over 384,000 people with more than 708,000 queries nationwide
- MABS supported 16,526 new clients in 2025, providing free, independent advice to help people manage debt, navigate rising living costs and build greater financial resilience
