Citizens Information Board staff meet with European Commission Plain Language Co-ordinator

As part of the Citizens Information Board’s (CIB) mandate to provide accurate, comprehensive and clear information, CIB staff take part in regular Plain English training with the National Adult Literacy Agency (NALA).

These sessions help CIB in its commitment to provide clear, accurate and trusted information to the public, particularly through citizensinformation.ie

This week, we were delighted to be joined by Hannah O’Brien-Møller, the Plain Language Co-ordinator with the European Commission. Hannah spoke to CIB’s Digital Content and Data & Research teams on clear language policies, translating documents into the European Union’s 24 official languages, and how CIB presents information on citizensinformation.ie.

CIB would like to thank Hannah O’Brien- Møller for this opportunity to share expertise and learn how plain English can be promoted across a large organisation.
