Awards Ceremony marks completion of successful eLearning (ETIP) Programme
In 2016 the Citizens Information Board (CIB) Training Team delivered a pilot eLearning programme for Information Providers. This pilot programme, Essential Training for Information Providers (ETIP), provided training on thirteen essential topics to over 100 Information Providers. The programme was developed by the CIB Training Team with the help of an ETIP Advisory Group.
The pilot ETIP programme was delivered in a blended learning format with 18 online lessons, two tutorials and one virtual classroom. The online lessons were developed by members of the Training Team. As all lessons were available online, every learner could access the lessons in their own time, at their place of work or at home. The tutorials provided an opportunity for face-to-face contact with tutors and other learners as well as an opportunity for discussion, skills demonstration and practice, while the the Virtual Classroom provided learners with an opportunity to experience another form of eLearning. All those who successfully completed the programme were awarded Certificates of Completion. An awards ceremony was held at the European Public Space, Europe House, Mount Street, Dublin 2 on November 29th. The certificates were presented by Dara Woods, Acting Training Manager, CIB.
Speakers at the awards ceremony included: Sarah Drea, Development Manager and ETIP Advisory Group Representative, Aiden Garland, Learner Representative, Niall Sexton, Development Manager and Learning Support Person, with the final address given by Dara Woods.
