  The National Strategy on Volunteers in Citizens Information Services 2012 – 2015 provides guidelines on managing volunteers that can be applied in a wide range of Irish volunteer and statutory organisations who involve volunteers in their activities. The material in this document can be adapted to help those organisations to develop volunteer management policies and procedures and to develop volunteer policies suited to their needs. The content includes guidelines on introducing quality standards, developing volunteer roles and recruiting, selecting and managing volunteers.
