The Citizens Information Board (CIB) is the statutory body which supports the provision of information, advice and advocacy on a broad range of public and social services. CIB provides the Citizens Information website,, and funds and supports the network of Citizens Information Centres and the Citizens Information Phone Service. It also funds and supports the Money Advice and Budgeting Service (MABS), the Sign Language Interpreting Service (SLIS) and the National Advocacy Service for People with Disabilities (NAS). CIB is seeking to recruit a:

The Citizens Information Board (CIB) wishes to recruit a Chief Executive Officer to drive the direction, leadership and overall vision for all staff and management in the organisation.

This role requires the successful candidate to have significant experience leading and managing complex teams and projects, demonstrate commitment, flexibility and innovation in all areas of their work and possess the range of communication, persuasion, negotiation and interpersonal skills to manage a dynamic and multi-faceted organisation.

The Citizens Information Board may consider a secondment arrangement for the full-term, subject to the agreement with the relevant public body.


€97,617 - €120,382 per annum (inclusive of two Long Service Increments (LSI) + a Directors Allowance of €13,272 per annum).

Candidates should note that entry will be at the 1st point of the scale and will not be subject to negotiation and the rate of remuneration may be adjusted from time to time in line with Government pay policy. Increments may be awarded annually subject to satisfactory performance with the exception of long service increments, if applicable.

Different terms and conditions may apply if, immediately before appointment, you are a currently serving civil/public servant.
