Aim    
This training is to provide participants with an overview of the policies and procedures that should be applied when recruiting, inducting and supporting volunteers.

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course participants should be able to:

  • use a consistent approach to select the most appropriate volunteers for the service
  • select and induct new volunteers into the service and support them with their training and development needs
  • explain the importance of providing feedback and recognition to volunteers to ensure they feel included and part of the service
  • deal with situations that may arise with confidence.
