Aim    
This training is to take participants through the Social Welfare appeals process using a step by step approach.

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course participants should be able to:

  • identify what decisions can be put to the Social Welfare Appeals Office
  • advise on alternative methods of dealing with refused applications;
  • explain the documentation that supports Social Welfare Appeals for the different payment categories
  • use the procedures at an appeals oral hearing
  • perform an appeal on behalf of a client.
