Aim
This training is to help potential Volunteer Co-ordinators
prepare for the role of volunteer co-ordinator by examining
their key tasks and consider how to effectively introduce
the role in the first year.
Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course participants should be able
to:
- identify the key tasks involved in the role of Volunteer Co-ordinator (Job Description)
- explain the core components of volunteer coordination and the benefits
- outline the relationship between the Volunteer Co-ordinator and Development Manager and the responsibilities of their roles
- explain the benefits of volunteer coordination to the team
- design a work plan for the year in conjunction with their Development Manager
- evaluate options on how to phase in their work plan in the first year
- design a checklist of core administration tasks
- deal with the challenges of the role
- use effective support and supervision including peer support.
