Minding Self: Managing a Quality Service

Level 2
This Level 2 course is developed for managers in Citizens Information Services (CIS); Money Advice and Budgeting Services (MABS) and Regional Managers of the National Advocacy Service for People with Disabilities who have a good understanding of the course topic and wish to acquire more advanced knowledge on the topic.

Aim    
This training is to assist managers to further develop skills that enable them to mind themselves and manage their workload in the current economic climate while continuing to deliver a quality service.

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course participants should be able to:

  • identify the current stresses and strains that managers face
  • recognise the stress signals in a timely manner for themselves and their staff
  • identify the priority areas of concern for themselves and their service
  • recognise the health and safety link to minding yourself and others in the workplace
  • use some tailored self-care techniques
  • identify relevant supports and be in a position to access them
  • devise a peer support plan to use into the future
  • use a self-care promise that promotes wellbeing.
