Launched in early 2010, keepingyourhome.ie is a website that provides information for people who are having difficulty paying their mortgage or rent. It was built as a collaboration between the Citizens Information Board and the Money Advice and Budgeting Service.
Keepingyourhome.ie is divided into four key sections: information for homeowners, information for tenants, information for people in debt and information on the options available if you do lose your home. Documents on the site cover topics like the MABS advice on mortgage arrears, MARP processes, home repossession, debt collection and Court procedures, social welfare payments and tax issues. The site also has two booklets, 'Keeping your home: homeowners' and 'Keeping your home: tenants', which are available as pdf downloads.
