The Citizens Information website, www.citizensinformation.ie, was developed to meet customer demands for fast, easy access to comprehensive information on rights and entitlements. The website covers a broad range of subjects: social welfare, employment rights, buying a home, moving abroad, education and much more.
Information on the Citizens Information website is available in both English and Irish. A range of information is also available in French, Romanian and Polish.
The website also has a directory of over 8,000 public service providers, searchable by town or county. Currently, the Find an Address feature displays the address and any other available contact information for local public service providers (for example email, website, opening hours). Service providers listed include public hospitals, post offices, colleges, tax offices and social welfare local offices.
