In 2007, the Citizens Information Board and the Department of Social and Family Affairs jointly published a series of publications aimed at outlining rights and entitlements and public services and supports available to older people.
This series, entitled Information Age included an information booklet, a series of factsheets, a wallchart and a checklist. Copies of the free booklet and checklist were circulated to thousands of older people in February 2007.
Our information factsheets for older people provide a quick overview of public services and supports in a number of areas including social welfare and HSE payments, moving from work to retirement, illness and caring, housing, long-term care, and bereavement.
These publications may be read in conjunction with our other booklet, Entitlements for the over sixties.
