The Citizens Information Service and the Money Advice and Budgeting Service were on hand to offer independent information and advice to the record number of people who attended the National Ploughing Championships from September 22 to 24. More than 281,00 people attended the event over the three days. This made it the most successful National Ploughing Championships in history.

Likewise the Money Advice and Budgeting Service assisted people with concerns over debt issues, including mortgage debt. On the Wednesday the Tánaiste, Joan Burton T.D., visited the marquee and complimented the work of all.
The NPA Managing Director Anna May McHugh, delighted by the record breaking attendance, announced that the 85th National Ploughing Championships would be held in Screggan, Tullamore, Co. Offaly from September 20 to 22, 2016.
