The Citizens Information Strategic Plan 2009 - 2012: Pathways to Services - Putting Citizens at the Centre

The Citizens Information Board is required to prepare three-yearly strategies detailing how it intends to fulfil its mandate for the following three years.

The aim of the Strategic Plan 2009-2012 is to ensure that all individuals have easy access to high quality, independent information, advice and advocacy services so that they can identify their needs and access their entitlements to social and civil services. The plan is built around five strategic citizen centered priorities:

Strategic Priority 1:
To ensure that we deliver seamless access to information, advice and advocacy services across all delivery channels to meet citizens' needs.

Strategic Priority 2:
To ensure that our service users receive consistently high quality services that meet their individual needs and requirements.

Strategic Priority 3:
To serve as a pivotal and trusted intermediary between citizens and public services.

Strategic Priority 4:
To lead the development of the MABS as a vibrant, responsive and innovative service

Strategic Priority 5:
To ensure that, we are organised to deliver quality services to our clients, with clear referral pathways between channels while demonstrating value for money

These inter-connected priorities are the core building blocks of our strategy for the next three years. The strategy sets out what these mean and how we will deliver them. The strategy therefore provides a single, overarching framework for the development of services provided by our key delivery partners driving how we all deliver our services over the next three years.

Is éard is aidhm don Phlean Straitéiseach 2009-2012 deimhin a dhéanamh de go bhfuil teacht gan stró ag cách ar fhaisnéis neamhspleách ar ardchaighdeán, agus ar sheirbhísí comhairle agus abhcóideachta chomh maith, ionas gur féidir leo a gcuid riachtanas a aithint agus leas a bhaint as gach seirbhís shóisialta agus shibhialta a bhfuil siad ina dteideal. Tá an plean bunaithe ar chúig cinn de thosaíochtaí straitéiseacha bunaithe ar shaoránaigh:

Tosaíocht Straitéiseach 1:
Rochtain gan uaim a chur ar fáil ar sheirbhísí tacaíochta, comhairle agus faisnéise trí gach bealach seachadta chun riachtanais saoránach a chomhlíonadh.

Tosaíocht Straitéiseach 2:
A chinntiú go bhfaigheann ár gcuid úsáideoirí seirbhíse seirbhísí d'ardchaighdeán go seasta, a chomhlíonann a riachtanais aonair.

Tosaíocht Straitéiseach 3:
A bheith ina idirghabhálaí lárnach idir saoránaigh agus seirbhísí poiblí.

Tosaíocht Straitéiseach 4:
Forbairt MABS mar sheirbhís bhríomhar, fhreagrúil agus nuálach a chur chun cinn

Tosaíocht Straitéiseach 5:
A chinntiú go bhfuilimid eagraithe chun seirbhísí den scoth a sheachadadh dár gcliaint, le cosáin tarchurtha soiléire idir bealaí agus luach maith ar airgead a chur ar fáil ag an am céanna.

Tá na tosaíochtaí seo, atá ceangailte lena chéile, mar bhunchlocha ag ár straitéis do na trí bliana amach romhainn. Leagann an straitéis síos céard a chiallaíonn siad seo agus conas a dhéanfaimid iad a sheachadadh. Cuireann an straitéis creat uileghabhálach amháin ar fáil d'fhorbairt na seirbhísí atá á gcur ar fáil ag ár bpríomh-chomhpháirtithe seachadta, a threoróidh an chaoi a gcuirimid go léir ár seirbhísí ar fáil sna trí bliana amach romhainn.
